Catering Assessor
  • Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time (Temporary/Permanent)
  • Location: North London
  • Rate: £25 - £47 per hour (including holiday pay)

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assessor to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality education. This role is ideal for industry specialists seeking a career change or experienced educators in the further education sector. The successful candidate will work with a variety of learners, helping them achieve their potential in the catering discipline.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Assessing learners in a range of catering qualifications.
  • Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students.
  • Planning and delivering vocational training programmes and workshops.
  • Managing challenging behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Engaging with 16-19-year-olds in educational or apprenticeship settings.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE, Certificate in Education).
  • Assessors’ qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a catering-related subject area.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Experience in teaching or interacting with young adults in educational settings.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
