Chef - Cwmbran

Start Date - Immediate Starts Available

Working hours: 10am - 5pm or 5pm - 10pm

Pay: £11 - £13 per hour

Temporary - Ongoing (Potential temp2perm for the right candidate)

We are on the lookout for a Chef to work at our clients venue in Cwmbran, this role is ideal for someone who really wants to make their mark.

Chef - Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for daily operations in the kitchen
  • Liaising with purchasing companies for food orders
  • Maintaining or raising the profit margins on food
  • Producing menus and new dishes
  • Managing, training and recruiting a brigade of chefs

Chef - Ideal Candidate

  • Enjoys the fast pace of the kitchen and can consistently produce top quality dishes under pressure.

  • A born leader who relishes taking responsibility for the running of the kitchen, but also knows when and how to delegate.
  • Excellent cooking skills
  • An understanding of produce and ingredients
  • The ability to write menus that are both creative and profitable
  • Supervisory and management skills
  • Stock taking skills
  • Food Hygiene certificate and certificate DBS
