Chemistry Production Manager

Location - Derbyshire

Sector - Environmental Chemistry

Salary- £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on interview performance & experience)

Full time, permanent role

Do you come from a chemistry background with professional experience within production? We are currently offering the opportunity for a new laboratory manager to join a contract analytical laboratory in Derbyshire. Our client is seeking a hard-working and engaging individual to join their team.

This is an opportunity for an individual who has prior line management experience within a fast-paced working environment.

The Role

As a Chemistry Production Manager within the environmental team, you will be responsible for:

  • General running and supervision of the production environment,
  • Improving process quality & time efficiency,
  • Management and training of staff members,
  • Liasing with key stakeholders,
  • Dealing with any staff concerns or queries.

Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • BSc / MSc / equivalent work experience in Chemistry or similar (essential)
  • Prior line management experience within a production environment (essential)
  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential)
  • Prior experience working within a UKAS / ISO 17025 accredited environment (desired)

The Package

Our client is offering this opportunity as a full time, permanent opportunity. The starting salary offered is £35,000 - £40,000, with a strong benefits package.
