Children's Creative Therapist Wilds Lodge School - Rutland

Job role We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our wonderful school and work with our exceptional students. We are currently looking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated Therapist to hold and manage a caseload of students aged 5-19 for one to one therapy sessions and group work.


Among other duties the successful candidate will contribute to promoting a therapeutic understanding within the wider community of the school and will share in the creation and delivery of training that aims to disseminate therapeutic understanding and knowledge amongst the whole staff team. You will demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures, liaising with families, outside agencies and other professionals where required.


Essential Requirements

  • An appropriate qualification in a Creative Therapy such as Drama, Music, Art, Play or Dance therapy
  • Experience working with children with a high level of Social, Emotional and Behavioural issues
  • HCPC, UKCP or BACP registration.
  • Full driving licence.

About Wilds Lodge School Wilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day students only) for students aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland. All the students at the school have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

It was established in 2007 and aims to place an equal emphasis on the educational, social and psychological development of our students.

The key to the success of the school is a strong ethos, developed by a highly experienced and capable staff, and the strength of the relationships between the staff and the students.
Working Hours

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8.30 - 4.30
  • Term time only
  • Part time days/hours optional
