Driver Hire London South West is working with a Wimbledon based removals company who are looking for a Class 2 HGV driver to join their team on a permanent basis.

The work involves helping with removals for offices and houses and the role requires the driver to be completely involved with the entire removal process, including packing, loading and unpacking the vehicles. This is not a purely just driving role. Therefore, the job is quite physical with heavy lifting involved. The removals are carried out by teams of between 2-6 people, depending on the size of the move. The majority of the work carried out is in SW London but some of the work is carried out across the UK.

The hours are 7.30am- 5.30pm with a half an hour lunch break, Monday to Friday with optional weekend work and overtime sometimes available. On the odd occasion, overnight trips are involved but this is usually only once or twice a month for moves far out from London. They have on site parking.

To be considered for the role, you must have a Cat C licence with no more than 6 points, as well as a valid CPC and tacho card. You also need to be able to lift heavy/bulky objects and be able to work well with fellow members of the removal team. Good customer service skills are essential as this is a customer facing role. Full training will be provided.

This job is for an immediate start so if you are interested, please apply today.
