Job Title: Clinical Manager (RMN or RNLD)

Location: Bradford

Salary: £63,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm

About our Client:

We are currently representing a private hospital who are a provider of mental health services, dedicated to delivering high-quality, person centred care to an all-male 46 bedded unit over 3 wards, a highly specialised Autism Spectrum Disorder service, a Specialist PICU service and an Acute Inpatient Mental Health service. They are committed to supporting individuals on their journey from referral to discharge, providing a safe and nurturing environment for their healing. Situated in over three acres of quiet and private grounds their team are working hard to make a real impact on their service users and families.

Clinical Manager role overview:

We are seeking a passionate, focused, and experienced Clinical Manager to join our clients team. As a Clinical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the clinical services provided to their patients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care that meets the highest standards. Spread over multiple departments including psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and social work, you will oversee and be supported by a strong administrative team that includes HR, ward clerks and medical secretaries. You will be a key player in providing and delivering the hospitals strategy, direction and embed contemporary initiatives that ensures effective clinical practice and leadership in care.

Key Responsibilities as a Clinical Manager:

  • Provide strong leadership to the clinical team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and support clinical staff, including nurses, therapists, and support workers, ensuring adequate staffing levels and adherence to best practices.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to monitor and enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, and lead initiatives to promote clinical governance and risk management.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, and delivery of individualised care plans for patients, ensuring their holistic needs are met.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, including medical, therapy, and administrative teams, to coordinate comprehensive care and support services.
  • Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected throughout their treatment journey.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the clinical team, providing feedback, coaching, and support as needed to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement in clinical processes, systems, and practices, and lead initiatives to drive positive change and innovation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Senior Mental Health Nurse with current registration and relevant clinical experience
  • Significant experience of leading teams and/or senior practice-based work
  • Experience of working with partner organisations, commissioners and external stakeholders
  • Experience of setting therapeutic boundaries with patients who exhibit challenging and high risk behaviours that require advanced interventions to enable effective de-escalation.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team towards achieving shared goals.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
