Job Title: Commercial Gas Supervisor

Contract Type: Permanent 

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Working Hours: 40 hours

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

Location: Arlington House, Camden - Hybrid

The difference you will make as a Commercial Gas Supervisor

The Property Services Directorate manages the repairs and maintenance service to over 22,000 properties across London, the South East and Home Counties. 
The directorate undertakes repairs, servicing, voids and planned maintenance work to our customers’ homes via our inhouse team and a variety of contractors and service providers who are employed on our behalf.  This includes repairs to general needs, leasehold, market rent and our specialist Care and Support schemes.  Our work also includes statutory and regulatory compliance checks.

About you
We are looking for someone with:
  • Proven track record of problem solving, identifying and resolving issues promptly
  • Excellent organisational skills NVQ or C&G in domestic gas or equivalent
  • Part G unvented
  • ACS CCN1
  • ACS CENWAT
  • ACS HTR1
  • ACS CKR1
  • We would expect candidate to be able to provide a proven track record in the servicing of a range gas appliances.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and occasionally on their own, you will be expected to work closely with your supervisor, identifying any issues and reporting this back.
  • Y plan heating systems
  • S plan heating systems

Role Profile
  • Effective line management of one of the Gas Teams. You will lead, manage, motivate, engage and support the team to deliver a customer focused service. 
  • Responsible for ensuring all works are allocated and completed to time, and quality standards, through supervising operatives
  • Customer focused, delivering a cost-effective service to our residents. 
  • To be at the forefront and ensuring that directly employed and sub contacted staff operates according to our Health and Safety procedures and processes all times.
  • Responsible for carrying out pre inspections and ordering the correct quantity and materials and post inspections of works ensuring a high standard of all completed works.
  • Managing sub- contractors ensuring that they adhere to quality and cost requirements 
  • Responsible for the delivery of an installation service that complies with all legislative and regulatory requirements in respect of directly employed operatives and maintenance contracts. To protect the landlord’s liability for disrepair.
  • Manage and develop a team of trade operatives, encouraging ownership and self-reliance.   
  • Develop and maintain effective OPIs and KPIs to ensure time, quality, cost and customer service standards are met
  • Develop and produce written reports and analysis for Management in respect of the outputs of the service
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety procedures and processes are always followed by staff
