Due to rapid expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an International Bank in central London as they seek candidates with Syndicated lending experience to join their Corporate Lending team. This is a very varied role, where you will be involved developing new business, preparing credit proposals, assisting with onboarding and supporting junior members of the team.

Duties of the Syndicated Loans Officer to include:

  • Monitor designated loan portfolio and develop new business
  • Prepare credit proposals
  • Liaise with the Risk Team during pre-approval stage on credit risk related matters
  • Submit customer's credit facility proposal in a timely manner and ensure the facility drawdown process is coordinated and completed
  • Liaise with Loans Team post-approval
  • Build relationships with intermediaries and third parties (solicitors, valuers, brokers, accountants etc.)
  • Prepare credit review reports on a regular basis
  • Develop strategies, tactics and action plans so as to achieve key performance targets
  • Supervision of junior members of staff

The successful Syndicated Loans Officer will have:

  • UK Banking experience is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of UK Property lending and loan syndication is essential
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Previous professional experience in commercial lending with experience working with syndications and credit
