A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Costs Draftsperson/Lawyer to join their team. Located on the border of Merseyside and Cheshire, the firm pride themselves on providing exceptional legal services to their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle your own caseload of costs matters, including drafting schedules, bills, replies, and budgets.
  • Competently negotiate settlement terms and attend detailed assessment hearings and Costs and Case Management Conferences (CCMCs).
  • Deal with an interesting mix of bills covering Personal Injury, Housing Disrepair, and Credit Hire cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Costs Draftsperson or Costs Lawyer, handling your own caseload of costs matters.
  • Proficient in drafting schedules, bills, replies, and budgets. Strong negotiation skills are essential.
  • Sound understanding of costs law and procedures related to Personal Injury, Housing Disrepair, and Credit Hire cases.
