Credit Controller

  • Salary: £26,000-£27,000
  • Working Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
  • Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days optional home working)

Reed is working with a household name and is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced credit controller to become an integral part of their dedicated team. You’ll be joining a business with a commitment to preservation and the environment.

As a credit controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation's financial health, directly contributing to the support of their ongoing preservation and maintenance efforts.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage debt collections and credit risk assessments.
  • Drive the digitalisation of services to enhance efficiency.
  • Handle both commercial and residential accounts, ensuring timely collection of all debts.
  • Engage with commercial customers and provide credit support to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct credit risk assessments for new applications and open new accounts.
  • Offer support to the credit control team on our payment line.
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify reasons for non/withheld payments and devise effective strategies for collection

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience within a busy credit control function.
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to converse and influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, self-motivated with a sense of accountability.
  • Strong commercial awareness and numerical accuracy.
  • Proficient in interpreting financial data with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of information gathering, problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, and working to multiple tight deadlines.
