Our client is an esteemed UK academy for science, that boasts an exciting opportunity for a data visualisation analyst to support a legacy of scientific publishing dating more than 4 centuries ago.

You will be leading the consolidation of data from numerous data sources whilst providing current insights into the activity from users of their products - With a future intention to create a more sophisticated data strategy for the organisation.

You will be playing a pivotal role in understanding how to collect their current data, turn this into valuable insights, and eventually drive change as to how to turn this into a more automated and seamless process.

As the organisation is in a premature stage of their use of data, we are looking for someone who has experience in the following:

  • Collating data from numerous sources across the organisation, including historical data
  • Using PowerBI to generate insights of the usage and success of products
  • Has worked within small - medium organisations to develop data collection and visualisation frameworks
  • Working with multiple teams to develop best practices and a better pipeline of data moving forward
  • Play a practical and 'pathfinder' role to develop the use of data across the organisation

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Strong SQL skills; to be able to extract data from several points and to develop automation across the organisation
  • PowerBi competency; to be able to create valuable insights using the data collected
  • Experience in developing data automation and processes

The organisation will be looking into creating a more sophisticated data strategy in the future, including the creation of a data warehouse and data teams. This means you will be joining at the start of an exciting journey to develop data maturity for the organisation with loads of room for career progression and development.
