We have been working with our client for the last 18 years and know them extremely well. They are based in Coventry and their business is logistics and pallet distribution. The primary function of this role is to appropriately manage the Depot Network to ensure sufficient pallet availability for One Way Trip customers based in the UK and Ireland.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have some experience within a fast paced service or logistics environment, and an understanding of pallet pooling. You will have a positive, professional and proactive approach to communication and your work. You will demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business, in addition to external organisations. You will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to maintain a calm approach during periods of high volume. You will be willing to learn and develop your skills to ensure you are able to promote an environment of continuous improvement. You pride yourself on working with a high degree of attention to detail and combine this with a drive to achieve excellence. You have a demonstrable record of accurate data management, using logical and numerical reasoning in order to deliver required targets. You will have a desire to be a part of our success, and to contribute to the future of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Process and reconcile depot activity on daily depot logs and repair control sheets

* Appropriately manage the Depot Network to ensure sufficient pallet availability for One Way Trip customers.

* Ensure daily depot sort and repair throughput targets are being met

* Contact the Depot Quality Manager along with the Depot Operations Manager if the depot is not meeting expectations for sorting and repair

* Monitor on a daily basis all depot repair percentages

* Utilise regular performance reports to ensure the depots meet all performance targets and KPI's.

* Maintain and re-enforce strong relationships with network partnerships

* Maintain positive professional working relationships with all business contacts in a problem-solving environment.

* Liaise with teams in Europe to ensure any repatriation volume is planned accordingly and runs efficiently

* Resolve issues in own area of remit

* Deal with requests for damage pallets from the Commercial team, allocating to the most practical depot.

* Effectively undertake any other duties as requested by the Management Team.

* Build, manage and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships and communication within the organisation and work in partnership with other team members to deliver a high standard of service which promotes positive and continuing customer relationships.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Intermediate Excel

* Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, influencing, verbal and written communication.

* Good Problem solving skills, including analysing & challenging information, being aware of surrounding information and data, assessing & acting on appropriate timing.

* Creative thinking and approach to tasks and issues.

* Excellent analysis and problem solving skills

* Full UK Driving License
