Development Chemist

A family-owned FMCG company are in need of a Development Chemist to join a small team. They need someone who has Formulation experience.

Job Title: Development Chemist

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: Salary range depending on experience

Term: Permanent role

SRG is working with a family-owned FMCG company who are looking for an experienced Chemist to join their team. The company are global leaders in their field, they supply into the NHS and take time to give back to their local communities. If you have formulation experience and are keen to wear many hats then this could be the role for you!

Role/Description:

• Managing new projects from brief to commercialisation, ensuring all documentation relating the to project is kept up to date
• Communicating with various departments throughout the Project to keep all parties up to date with progress of the project
• Create and present development plans for client briefs, showcasing how brief will be met
• Working with wider teams within the business (regulatory and lab team) to ensure customer projects will be delivered on time
• Supporting the sales team with technical queries
• Supporting on production trials
• Working to ensure claims have been substantiated
• Reviewing chemical ingredients regularly

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry or Cosmetic Science
• Formulation experience in Biocides, Detergents or Cosmetics
• Experience managing projects from concept to commercialisation
