Director of Commercial Finance – SaaS scaleup

Hybrid working model (City office 2 days p/w + WFH)

£170/180k + bonus (up to 20%) + options

Talentedge are delighted to have been retained by a global SaaS scaleup (AI automation) on their Director of Commercial Finance opportunity. The business partners with global enterprise brands across all industries and are forecasting 100m revenues within the next 18-24 months.

As second-in-command to a globally renowned & market leading CFO, you will operate as the main business partner and strategic advisor to all business functions with a particular focus on GTM and R&D as well as C Suite and Founders.

You will be tasked with leading and developing an ambitious commercial team who cover FP&A / business partnering / commercial finance / corporate finance and corporate development.

You’ll be a great cultural fit for the company if you are curious, inquisitive and energetic with a progressive and ambitious work ethic.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build out & improve on existing budgeting, forecasting and planning across all business functions
  • Take the lead on analysing and reporting on financial and non-financial SaaS metrics and KPIs
  • Create complex financial models & have ultimate ownership
  • Support & lead on corporate transactions including M&A and future fundraising
  • Become a trusted senior figurehead within the business whose inputs, insights and recommendations are truly respected, actioned and implemented
  • Partner VP / C Suite / Board and Investors
  • Take the lead on business case preparation and review

Profile:

  • Highly effective business partner with expansive senior stakeholder management. Able to advise, challenge and influence
  • Analytical and hands on by nature, happy rolling your sleeves up and building complex models from scratch to drive business decision making
  • Experience of playing a senior support role or leading on fundraising & M&A activities
  • NetSuite experience is advantageous however non-essential
  • Highly proficient with business intelligence and data visualisation tools
  • Qualified accountant / investment banking / management consulting background coupled with international, rapid-scale tech sector experience (B2B SaaS is advantageous however non-essential)
