Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a Global Marketing Agency as they are keen to be looking to bring on a Director of Go to Marketing Strategy/Planning to the team on a full time basis out of their HQ in London. The role is hybrid with a few days in the office.

We are looking for a Director of Go-to-Market Strategy/Planning who can guide our diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C clients through complex market landscapes. With primary service lines in brand and product strategy, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, Account-Based Marketing (ABM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), marketing automation, media planning and buying, web development, and creative production, we provide a holistic approach to digital and traditional marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of GTM initiatives that align with our clients' business goals, across both B2B and B2C sectors.
  • Oversee the development of integrated marketing campaigns that leverage our full suite of services including ABM, sales and marketing enablement and automation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (brand strategy, research and analytics, media, web development, creative and production) to ensure cohesive and innovative client solutions.
  • Interpret market analysis and insights to help clients stay ahead of industry trends and leverage new opportunities for growth.
  • Craft and manage high-impact marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Ensure all GTM strategies are scalable and adaptable across different markets and regions, particularly focusing on US, Europe and APAC.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to assess campaign effectiveness and pivot strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a senior advisor for marketing strategy concerns.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team of marketing professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in strategic marketing roles within an advertising agency environment, delivering successful GTM strategies for both B2B and B2C clients.
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing disciplines, including ABM, CRM, marketing automation, media planning, and creative production.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize market data and competitive insights into strategic plans.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams towards high performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in presenting and negotiating at the executive level.
