DNS Engineer - Fully Remote in the UK
£60 000.00 - £85 000.00 per annum


You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DNS solutions to ensure seamless and efficient domain resolution. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing DNS infrastructure, enhancing security measures, and providing expert guidance on DNS-related technologies.


Primary Responsibilities:
* DNS Architecture and Design: Design and implement scalable and reliable DNS architectures, evaluate existing infrastructure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DNS solutions.
* DNS Administration: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot DNS servers (BIND, PowerDNS, etc.), manage DNS records and configurations, and implement security best practices to prevent DNS-related attacks.
* Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize DNS performance for low latency and high availability, implement load balancing and traffic management strategies, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
* Security and Compliance: Implement DNS security measures, stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats, and ensure DNS configurations comply with security policies and regulations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* In-depth knowledge of DNS protocols, standards, and technologies.
* Hands-on experience with DNS server administration (BIND, PowerDNS, etc.).
* In-depth understanding of DNS security protocols (DNSSEC, DANE, etc.).
* Experience with EPP, RDAP, WHOIS, and IPv4/6.
* Proficiency in PHP and Python
* Highly aware of security implications and best practices.

Location: Fully Remote in the UK
Salary range: £60k - £85k
