Job Title: Drama Teacher

About Us: The secondary setting is a dynamic secondary school committed to nurturing creativity and self-expression through theatre. Our Drama department plays a pivotal role in shaping students’ artistic journeys, and we are seeking an inspiring Drama Teacher to join our team.

Role Overview: As a Drama Teacher, you will guide students through the exciting world of theatre. Your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging lesson plans covering acting, script analysis, and character development.
  • Directing school plays, musicals, and other productions.
  • Providing constructive feedback and encouragement to students.
  • Preparing students for exams and final performances.
  • Organizing theatre trips to enhance students’ knowledge.
  • Attending staff and parent meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Teacher Qualification (TQ) in Scotland.
  • Relevant degree related to drama.
  • Creativity, patience, and strong communication skills.
