Job Overview
In the role of Electrical Installation Lecturer, you’ll be based at our clients Engineering College and your focus will be on delivering high-quality lessons to apprentices and full-time learners, including school leavers and mature students. Your key responsibilities will be to teach and develop programmes of study to meet the needs of learners. The successful candidate will create a positive classroom environment by engaging learners and challenging behaviour issues positively and with consideration and aim to help our client's students develop self-regulation and confidence in their abilities as they prepare for their next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Working within the college's Electrical Installation department, supporting, teaching, training, and assessing Electrical Installation students on their courses of study.
- Delivering education and training to high standards along with preparing student materials, assessing and marking student work and carrying out student tutorials and assessments to ensure each student is achieving their best during their time in the college.
- Communicate effectively, engage with young people, and demonstrate the College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Requirements
- Relevant degree in Electrical subject-specific or related area.
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C).
- Teaching qualification is Desirable, as they will put you through the essential qualifications if you haven’t already.
- Familiarity with using Microsoft Office 365 applications and general digital literacy.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
