Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Location of Office: Blackburn + Remote Working Available
The Role: A new position has now been created for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our clients growing Engineering team as they work towards the development of a brand-new range of IoT connected devices.
This will be a hands-on development role and you can expect your day-to-day responsibilities to vary and should expect plenty of variety of tasks in this role. With the main focus on the development of new products you can expect to be involved in concept meetings, product research, prototype development, software programming, in house testing, bug fixing and producing the required documentation.
Skills and Experience Required:
- C/C++ programming
- RTOS platforms
- GIT and SVN Version control
- Relevant degree qualification - Computer Science, Electronics Engineering etc
In this role the successful Embedded Software Engineer can expect to take on a key role within software development decisions, design and research. You will work closely within a small team and have the chance to contribute throughout the full development life cycle, from initial concept through to production.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Wireless protocols - ZigBee, Wi-Fi, BLE Etc
- Programming on Linux systems
- Development of IoT connected devices
This role will best suit an Embedded Software Engineer with 3+years industry experience who is now keen to take on a new challenge and be involved in the design and development of a range of IoT connected devices that will be used across the UK and Europe.
