This role involves delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English to a diverse group of learners, primarily vocational students aged 16-18, as well as a growing number of part-time adult learners.
  • English Lecturer - GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Location: Middlesex
  • Salary: £31,357 to £43,729 per annum including London Weighting
  • Job Type: Full Time or Part Time
Day to day of the role of an English Lecturer :
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in GCSE and Functional Skills English to vocational learners and adult learners.
  • Support the development of learners to help them progress to higher courses or into the workplace.
  • Engage and motivate students, particularly those resitting exams, to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share best practices and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the English curriculum and teaching resources.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the English Lecturer role :
  • A degree in English or a related subject is preferable.
  • Recognised teaching qualification

    Experience in teaching English GCSE and Functional Skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire learners from a variety of vocational disciplines.
  • Strong commitment to student success and educational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
