English Teacher

Your new company
We are seeking a Qualified English Teacher to join a secondary school team on a temporary basis ASAP until July 2024 with the possibility of applying for a permanent position for the next academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English classes. This job is located in
Your new role
- Plan and prepare engaging and challenging English lessons to meet the needs of all students- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to all students in your classes
- Assess and record student progress regularly and report to parents and senior staff as required
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline within the classroom and the wider school environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and develop resources
- Participate in extra-curricular activities as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline
- Enhanced DBS check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to ongoing professional development
