English Teacher

Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £130 - £170 per day
Contract: Full Time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate English Teacher to join a vibrant school in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering English curriculum to secondary school students, fostering their understanding and appreciation of literature and language.

Job Summary:

  • Teach English to students at various levels, focusing on developing both their written and oral language skills.
  • Engage students with a variety of texts, encouraging analytical and critical thinking.
  • Plan and execute lessons that effectively meet the learning objectives and needs of all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to promote improvement.
  • Prepare students for qualifications and assessments in line with the national curriculum standards.
  • Collaborate with other English department members to develop teaching materials and participate in departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
  • Experience in teaching English at secondary level.
  • Excellent command of the English language and a passion for literature.
