Estimator

IS Group are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and ideally experienced Estimator to join our team based in Flint, near Chester.  You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis andin return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependant on level of experience).

The Company

IS Group is an established Company manufacturing high end signage with installations nationwide. We work with local government, construction, managing agents, land and property developers and urban designers. We interpret concept designs into CAD manufacturing drawings and manufacture in our engineering department.

About the role:

As a Signage Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of signage projects, as well as the potential to go to sites to carry out surveys to help firm up costs. Training will be provided by our in-house team to make sure you get up to speed as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities as our Estimator will include:

• Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of signage projects
• Working with the Sales team to make sure quotations are out on time and accurate as possible
• Liaising with Production to find best methods of manufacturing and always looking to improve processes so we can be as competitive as possible
• Reviewing and analysing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents
• Identifying and quantifying all costs associated with a project, including materials, labour, overhead, and profit
• Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible prices
• Managing tender schedules and ensuring that tenders are completed on time
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities with our team of engineers
• Staying up-to-date on the latest signage trends and technologies
• Further opportunity to be trained and attend site surveys to firm up specification

What we’re looking for in our Estimator:

• Experienced in business administration, management, or engineering fields
• 2+ years of experience in estimating or equivalent
• Clean Driving Licence (required)
• Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets with formulas 
• Analytical
• Proficient in Maths and English with grades B and above at GCSE / A-Levels
• Proven ability to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates
• Excellent knowledge of signage materials or fabrication methods
• Management and communication skills
• Time management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
