Export Seafreight Operator

Freightserve are looking for an experienced Export Seafreight Operator. The company are a well established Freight Forwarder based in the Redditch area.

Duties:-

• Process and manage Export sea shipments
• Complete all relevant paperwork
• Complete HM Customs Export entries.
• Manage customer queries
• Arrange collection of freight with haulage companies
• Negotiate ad hoc rates with suppliers
• Invoice shipments
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/ Supervisor

Skills required for the role:-

• Previous Freight Forwarding Administrative experience
• Knowledge of Logistics and Transportation Market
• Working experience of Export Licensing requirements
• Financial awareness re: shipping process (cost, profit / loss, currencies)
• Educated to GCSE level, with grade 5 or above in Maths and English
• Proficient User of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
• Highly organised with great attention to detail
