Major Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for Factory Operative/Fabricators for our long-established client on a Fixed Term Contact basis. Our client, a leading name in oilfield equipment, is looking to add a dynamic member to their diverse team.

Location: Plymouth

Pay: £11.50 - £12.00 p/h

Hours: 40 hours per week. Mon - Thurs 7am - 5:30pm plus Overtime at higher rate

Contract: 3 Months' Fixed Term Contract

What you will be doing as a Factory Operative/Fabricator:

  • Assist the Fabrication Team to carry out their daily tasks.
  • Work to achieve high quality in the assembly of component parts
  • Demonstrate a skillset using various hand tools
  • Ensure production target output and quality is maintained
  • Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining production area housekeeping
  • Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently#
  • Work productively and safely in compliance with our systems of work
  • Maintain good levels of workmanship and traceability

  • Flexible and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done
  • Able to understand technical drawings, and apply technical information
  • Able to quickly understand a challenge and quickly apply new skills
  • Able to identify and install improvements that are effective in achieving excellent quality, cost reduction and productivity improvements
  • Quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately
  • Excellent communication to all levels of an organisation
  • Strong time-management skills
