Diagnostic equipment is frequently used in hospital and clinical labs to provide quick and accurate analysis of samples to speed up patient diagnosis and treatment. As such, the equipment used in these settings must be maintained correctly and have minimal downtime.

We are currently looking for an experienced engineer to fulfil a hybrid role for a successful manufacturer of diagnostic equipment. Ideal candidates will be based within 1 hour of the company HQ near Reading and be comfortable with travel across the UK.

Your key responsibilities will include the installation, service and maintenance of a range complex medical & scientific instruments at customer sites across the UK. Additionally, you will perform more complex repairs & upgrades at the company HQ and ensure that spare parts are ordered for the upkeep of stock.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Skilled field service engineer with experience of servicing and maintaining complex instruments from a medical, scientific or clinical industry
  • Comfortable with travel and able to regularly commute to the company HQ near Reading
  • Excellent communications skills - act as company ambassador to key customers

This role is a hybrid position; mixing your weekly responsibilities between field based and workshop duties. For your work you will be rewarded with an excellent salary and additional benefits!
