Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper - Construction

£25,000 - £35,000

As we continue to grow, we're seeking a talented individual to contribute to our finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
