Finance Assistant

Hays are currently recruiting for a thriving software engineering company based in Greater Manchester, who are in search of a finance assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. If you are a detail-orientated finance professional looking to contribute to a dynamic and innovative company, this would be a great opportunity.

Your new role

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

• Processing weekly and monthly expenses and payments.
• Bank transaction reconciliations.
• Create and process sales invoices.
• Preparing payroll.
• Processing purchase orders.
• Investigating purchase ledger queries.
• High volume invoice processing.
• Assist in dealing with external agencies for tax preparation, auditing, and banking as necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be proactive, personable and have a 'can-do attitude'. The successful candidate will be organised and have excellent attention to detail. You will be a quick learner and can pick up new systems easily. You will have a confident and efficient communication style to enable effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
