Finance Business Partner | Birmingham and the West Midlands | Multi-site Hospitality Company | £70,000-£80,000 (plus car allowance)

A Regional Finance Business Partner job for a multi-site Hospitality company based in Birmingham and the West Midlands paying £70,000-£80,000 (plus car allowance).

You’ll be working for an acquisitive, leading multi-site hospitality business with multiple revenue streams with a reputation for providing excellent service and a national portfolio.

You’ll be working as a Regional Finance Business Partner and will be responsible for partnering with a portfolio a region of retail/food service cost centres. Your duties will include;

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis of performance across the group’s current restaurant portfolio and any future business, including responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and commentary on monthly results
  • Provide the business with clear, easily digestible Monthly business performance reports that clearly identify detailed current performance V plan
  • Identify opportunities to enhance top and bottom-line performance of restaurants, and partner MD and Operations Directors and other senior stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Maintain close scrutiny of the key commercial drivers of EBITDA ensuring threats and opportunities are identified in a timely manner and actions taken to maintain alignment with budget.
  • Ensure that the restaurant investment decisions are taken with sufficient analysis and risk modelling to deliver investment at a minimum of 95% consented sales and flow through.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monthly finance pack with commentary on individual, area, asset type and brand performance issued in line with strict reporting timetable, identifying key commercial drivers of actual results and reasons for variance against budget, creating an "Act on Fact" mentality across the teams.
  • Budgets developed with threats and opportunities to achieving budget identified in an actionable timeframe.
  • Support the development Investment case packs to ensure heavy scrutiny and risk modelling to ensure delivery of project against consented projections.
  • Builds and continually refines the business case P&L model across the estate so pace setter performance can be used to robustly describe the opportunity gap.
  • Monthly reforecasting of expected annual outturn to a high degree of confidence.
  • Strong and trusting relationships established with all key stakeholders, including commercial finance team, Operations Directors, Area coaches, CFO and other internal Heads of Department, licensees and 3rd Party providers. Underperformance challenged across all areas whilst maintaining relationships.
  • Understand current and future drivers of EBITDA for QRS and casual dining, including Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure Restaurant General Managers, Area coaches, Operations Directors, MD and CFO are provided with relevant commercial management information and insight on a timely basis.
  • Support and challenge Restaurant General Managers, Area coaches and Operations Directors to achieve budgeted EBITDA.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the group’s commercial performance, effectively present ideas and turn them into practical actions. Lead initiatives on enhancing commercial performance and support wider group goals and initiatives.
  • Support the Property Portfolio and lease negotiations.
  • Leverage licensee office for BI and best practice insight while building network and influencing consensus across Franchisee system.

You’ll need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) although other experience will be considered. You’ll need to have strong Excel and ideally have experience within a multi-site hospitality or retail business and be used to working with lean methodology.

You’ll be paid £70,000-£80,000 (depending on experience) plus car allowance and work 40 hours a week in a regional role travelling between sites and cost centres.
