Finance Manager

• Rate: £400 - £450 per day depending on experience (inside IR35)
• Location: London
• Job Type: Contract up to 9 months
• Hybrid: 2-3 days in office

Reed Professional Services are working closely with a large UK based media company that is currently seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Finance workstream for their International Controls and Operating Model (ICOM) Project within their News Finance team. This role is pivotal in delivering fit-for-purpose international Finance and Corporate Tax policies, standards, and business practices, and will involve collaboration with UK-based and international colleagues.

• Lead the Finance workstream to deliver international Finance and Corporate Tax policies, standards, and business practices.
• Review and document existing policies, standards, and business practices, proposing improvements and standardising approaches.
• Coordinate with international bureaux and UK Head Office teams to share updated policies, standards, and practices.
• Lead and document weekly workstream meetings, managing Finance plan deliverables, and highlighting risks/issues/dependencies.
• Focus on Finance policies, standards, and business practices, while coordinating with a Corporate Tax representative and a project manager overseeing the roll-out of accounting solutions.
• Provide Finance expertise and insight for the project, including financial analysis and reporting.

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience in leading Finance workstream teams within projects.
• Experience dealing with international colleagues and understanding cross-cultural nuances.
• Proficient in financial analysis and interpretation of financial information.
• Significant experience in the application of Finance governance and control principles.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence business and Finance stakeholders.
