A newly-created Finance Manager position in a growing and acquisitive Cheltenham service provider. An opportunity to manage a small sized team, overseeing the day-to-day financial activities, ensuring that processes are fit for purpose and robust and taking ownership for month and year-end. This role will really appeal to those who enjoy process improvement, people management and development and working in a high change environment.

Key responsibilities

• Month-end reporting and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Leading the annual audit for all entities
• Oversight of financial operations including AP, AR and banking
• Developing and reviewing KPIs
• Developing and implementing robust policies and procedures to improve efficiencies
• Leading and developing a small sized team

Candidate profile

• A qualified accountant with experience of coaching and leading teams
• Experience of producing management and statutory accounts
• A strong problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
• A good level of proficiency with Excel
• Knowledge of how to use systems to leverage efficiencies
