Venture Recruitment Partners are assisting a PE backed business, based in Basingstoke, in their search for a Finance Manager to cover a period of parental leave in the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • All initial processing and control of monthly accounting requirements, to include
    • Accruals, Prepayments, journal entries and corrections
    • Fixed Asset additions and Depreciation postings
    • Review of entries and correction of errors as necessary
  • Review Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and review
  • Intercompany reconciliations and postings
  • Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in management accounts
  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
  • Assist in the annual budget, specifically around costs
  • Lead the year end audit process
  • Providing P&L and budget support for Nursery/Regional Managers
  • VAT returns
  • Manage the Finance Team

Skills/Experience include:

  • Strong team management experience
  • Sage/Xero system experience
  • Available to start in 1-2 weeks
  • Will consider QBE's or those studying a formal qualification

Hybrid working - 2-3 days a week in the office
Salary - £45-55,000 p/a
Duration - 14 months
