Financial Accountant

• Salary: £50,000 pro rata

• Job Type: Full-time, 6-month FTC

We are seeking a diligent Financial Accountant for a 6-month fixed-term contract, offering a pro rata salary of £50,000. The role is office-based in Colindale and involves assisting in the production of monthly management accounts, maintaining financial records, and supporting the annual audit process. This position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, has strong accounting skills, and is committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.

• Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts for the group.
• Process repayments, accruals, intercompany, and other relevant month-end journals.
• Reconcile Donation income and maintain the fixed assets register.
• Prepare Foundation bank reconciliation and assist with the annual accounts preparation.
• Liaise with auditors and support the annual budgets cycle in liaison with managers and other budget holders.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
• Process & reconcile online book sales and VAT returns for the group.
• Manage the organisation’s mobile phones contract and Sales Ledgers, including credit control function.
• Manage the Purchase Ledger and provide financial information and advice to all staff.
• Demonstrate the organisation’s values and influence managers in best practice processes.
• Establish and develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fulfil other duties and responsibilities as required, commensurate with the role.

• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide financial advice.
