Financial Controller - Manchester

Permanent - Hybrid Working

£65,000pa - £70,000pa DOE

We are supporting a fantastic not-for-profit organisation in Manchester looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their Finance Team. This is a full time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week) reporting directly to the Finance Director and offering Hybrid Working (2 days a week WFH).

As a successful candidate you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Director with the overall management of the organisations finances and also overseeing the collection, analysis and consolidation of financial data.

Responsibilities as a Financial Controller:

  • Manage and supervise the Finance Manager.
  • Maintain and develop risk assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial control schedules and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and approve purchase invoices for payment, including matching to purchase order and checks for accuracy and approval.
  • Monitor and approve corporate credit card transactions, including checking receipts.
  • Monitor and approve bank payments using on-line banking systems.
  • Maintain standing records for customers and suppliers

Essential requirements of the role:

  • ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in a business or finance environment.
  • Experience of working as a Financial Controller
  • Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders, including directors and other board members.
