Finance Manager Part time

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their management team on a part-time basis. This role is pivotal in managing and leading the accounts function, driving improvements across Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing statutory accounts, tax returns, and assisting with financial planning and analysis.

• Manage and lead the accounts function, ensuring efficiency and compliance across all financial operations.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, tax returns, and rolling forecasts for profit/loss, balance sheets, and cash flows.
• Review and approve month-end reconciliations and control accounts.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for Directors, as well as bi-annual reports for Shareholders.
• Attend key meetings with the Management team to represent the financial perspective on new ventures.
• Oversee company accounts and investments, and manage working capital components effectively.
• Negotiate better value deals for bank accounts and loans, and review trading processes to enhance payment terms.

• Daily monitoring of bank balances and transaction reconciliation.
• Monthly payroll processing and authorisation of supplier payments.
• Manage the Accounts team’s holidays to ensure year-round coverage and timely payments to growers.
• Transfer funds between accounts to maximise interest earnings.
• Track transactions and review internal reports to manage cash flow.
• Ensure accurate financial recording, filing, and reporting in compliance with regulations and legislation.

• At least 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in creating financial statements.
• Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Excellent skills in accounting software and system administration.
