Financial Controller

Robert Half are currently partnering with an exciting Engineering firm based in Cheltenham to recruit an experienced interim Financial Controller.

Due to the current incumbent leaving the role, this organisation require interim support to take a handover, provide cover during the period they are gone and handing over to the new FC.

Start date: End of May (Ideally but can be flexible)

Duration: 3-4 months (depending on the permanent process)

Day rate: Up to £430.00 per day

5 days a week on site in Cheltenham

You will be reporting into the Finance Director and be responsible for:

• Manage a team of 7 - qualified and transactional staff.
• Own the balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead month-end close and prepare the monthly financial statements.
• Lead year end close.
• Work with the FP&A team on financial reporting and commercial analysis.
• Tax calculations and submissions.
• Ownership of financial compliance within the finance function.
• Manage cash forecasting process.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Qualified in CIMA, ACA OR ACCA
• Strong systems skills.
• Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on financial compliance.
• Previous experience managing finance teams.
