Financial Controller

Equifind have teamed up with a market leading investment management firm in London, who are looking for a tried and tested financial controller to join the ranks, for the next six to nine months.

The core of this role will be consolidation and group reporting, so you must have a background with group consolidations. There are multiple entities in the business, so you must have strong experience of different equity structures and joint ventures.

You’ll be working alongside some great financial controllers so guidance and collaboration will be a daily feature.

This is an awesome assignment for a tried and tested financial controller, who has more of a technical background and enjoys getting into the details and financial reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities for this financial controller position include but aren’t limited to:

• Take the lead with the group consolidation of approximately 50+ legal entities across multiple jurisdictions, with different equity structures and with multiple currencies
• Collaborate with regional finance teams to streamline the financial processes for consolidation purposes, ensuring consistency in reporting for the group going forward
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with the accurate monthly consolidation of the group results, establishing a strong understanding and controlled environment for consolidated entries
• Build reports for future use that will enhance the reporting function
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ad hoc projects as and when requested by the CFO

Experience & Qualification

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 8-10 years PQE
• Experience of the private equity or investment management
• Experience of LP and joint venture structures is highly beneficial
• Strong consolidation experience is a must
• Can work independently in a timely fashion
• Real team player and can work well with stakeholders across offices

An established investment management firm in central London, who have enjoyed considerable growth over the past 10 years. The business focuses on multiple investment strategies all across the globe and has deployed over £5bAUM across the years.

The organisation has around 40 employees in the London office, so you will be joining an established finance team. The business operates mostly from the office so you will be required to be office-based most of the time. Flexibility will be granted as and when needed.

Rate/Salary

This exciting opportunity for a financial controller will pay between £550-£700 per day, depending on your consolidations experience.

This assignment is earmarked to be for a minimum six months but might extend longer.
