Financial Reporting Officer

£35,000 - 40,000 pa plus benefits

 
Our client an international bank based in London, urgently require a Financial Reporting Officer to join their finance team and produce daily, monthly management reports and performance review reports. 

Please only apply for this role if you have strong Financial Reporting background - IFRS knowledge - from within the banking, or wider Financial Services industry. 
 
Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Officer will include:

  • Preparation of management information as required.           
  • Maintaining controls and check on the regulatory database and the extracts from their core banking system  
  • Producing daily Balance Sheet and P&L statements 
  • Manage the purchase ledge control  
  • Assisting with the preparation and content of Management Accounts/ Performance reports.
  • Aiding with the planning, testing and implementation of finance-related projects.
  • Keep up-to-date with accounting standards and communicating their impact 

The successful Financial Reporting Officer will have: 

  • Strong Financial reporting background - IFRS knowledge is essential ideally with a background in banking.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (especially Ms Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • The ability to work under pressure, if necessary, under deadline-driven conditions.
  • Fast learner with good problem-solving skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Part qualification (ACCA, ACA preferred) with strong academic background in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Engineering
