GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST | LADIES FASHION BRAND | SALARY £28,000 - £32,000

As the Garment Technologist you'll be passionate about bringing new and exciting styles to life each season by working with your wider buying, design and merchandising team. To work for this brand you need to care about quality & how you partner with your suppliers.

THE ROLE:

  • Support buyers and designers with Initial ideas
  • Support with the request of samples
  • Have the confidence to lead your fit sessions
  • Ability to write clear and concise comments for suppliers
  • Aim to build supplier relationships
  • Manage and report on returns
  • Improve quality across fit, construction, fabrics and trims
  • Full awareness of the critical path
  • Work with wider team on sealing process, sample chasers, supplier delays, RTVs, cost prices, delivery dates
  • Check, challenge and care all areas of compliance of your product
  • Ability to set up standardised blocks for best sellers allowing the department to trade quickly
  • Experience with grading
  • Create new specs for newness
  • Manage test reports, quality checks, care labels and supplier manuals
  • Request AQL reports from your suppliers and manage the production seal process
