Job Title: Geography Teacher

Location: East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Northampton

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £140 - £220 Per day

Job Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in line with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' work to support their learning and development
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience
  • Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) qualification
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in the relevant subject
Education and Experience:
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Passion for working with young people
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Passion for working with young people and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the importance of student welfare
  • Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training in educational leadership or special educational needs (SEN) is advantageous
