GSL Education are currently seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants for secondary schools in North Shields. This role is ideal for graduates looking to develop their skills in a secondary education setting.

Job Summary:

• Assist in the delivery of classroom activities and support subject teachers.
• Help with the preparation of lesson materials and learning environments.
• Support students' understanding of the curriculum through one-on-one or small group sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with students to facilitate learning and development.
• Assist with classroom management.
• Support the inclusion of all students in learning activities.

Qualifications:

• A university degree, preferably related to education or the subject area of support.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on young people's lives.

Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
