Graduate Development Engineer - Decarbonisation

East London- Hybrid

Full Time - permanent

Salary: £32,000- £37,000 + Package

We are working with a newly formed business that is now carving its own path in the Decarbonisation industry after breaking apart from its parent company. They are looking for a Graduate Development Engineer to be an integral part of the team; reporting to the Senior Development Engineer, helping to deliver the work.

Your primary role is to support the Business development team to ensure growth of the existing district heating and district cooling schemes, as well as on securing new schemes through tenders or direct engagement with developers. This will suit someone with a good knowledge of energy and hydraulic modelling, concept design and feasibility studies.

They will support, train, and empower you to own your role. You will have the opportunity to grow and progress as you join at an early but exciting stage which can offer several paths of development.

About You

  • BEng / BSc Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar
  • An understanding of the decentralised energy industry
  • A good understanding of energy, hydraulic and techno-economic modelling
  • An understanding of heat pumps, boilers, chillers and district heating network installations
  • A natural ability for undertaking engineering calculations, analysis and problem solving
  • Client facing
  • Positive and proactive
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel
