Proud to be a Green Energy company we are growing our development team in Scotland; working alongside our Senior Development Manager we are looking to appoint a Graduate Engineer.

The role will initially be focused on On-Shore Wind and BESS, with a view to move into solar PV as well. As a company we have a significant portfolio and you will have the opportunity to be actively involved at all stages from feasibility work, technical evaluation, project design and environmental assessment, submission of planning, and on into pre-construction.

We have offices in London, Milan and Edinburgh. This role is based in Edinburgh, and would require you to go to London for training. We are proud to be self-funded and are working to become an IPP in the UK.

We would like an individual with a high level of curiosity and technical mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and organise project documentation
  • Screen, filter and assess project opportunities by risks, analysing land, environmental constraints, sizing and layout, yield, grid connection
  • Support the project submission and planning at a region or national level
  • Support the integration's at a region or national level by keeping control of all the communications and organising the necessary follow-up
  • Support our Senior Development Manager in Scotland as well as the engineering and project management staff in the preparation of all the required internal approval processes providing Management Information and ensuring the right level of control during deployment of the opportunities across the various stages (development, construction and operation)

The Person:

  • You feel comfortable dealing with multiple projects and multiple task at the same time, you are organised and can manage deadlines on time involving different stakeholders
  • You have both the ability to keep a high level view of the existing projects and the ability to deep dive quickly without losing sight of the big picture
  • Most importantly you need to have a genuine interest to work in the renewable and energy infrastructure that is pushing you to exceed and excel over a very fast and dynamic work environment
  • Wind, solar and storage framework understanding
  • Knowledge of the DWG and GIS format and softwares (Autocad, QGIS/ARCgis, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of the planning processes in United Kingdom
  • Some experience and knowledge of grid connection solutions
  • Project area: Greenfield / Brownfield Solar / Wind / BESS
  • Technology: Solar, Batteries, Wind, Biomass
