To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Group Maintenance Supervisor to come and join our team.

Please note this role is a field-based role, commuting to sites within an agreed locations.

Job Purpose:

The role holder as Group Maintenance Supervisor will have key responsibilities to ensure the Mobile Maintenance function is efficiently managed and provides the required engineering and maintenance support across all sites within the Concrete Division, ensuring group targets, KPIs and strategies are met whilst maintaining Company Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.

They will lead by example and support preventative maintenance systems to enable continuous improvement of reliability, performance and availability of all fixed and mobile plant.

Key Accountabilities

•             Ensuring the Mobile Engineering Team operation is delivered safely adhering Company Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.

•             Support and promote site operations to ensure they are delivered safely according to the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

•             Responsibility for the preparation and development of safe working methods for maintenance and project activities.

•             Ensure maintenance compliance checks are completed in accordance with legislation and business policy, with follow up actions completed within stipulated time frames.

•             Work collaboratively across all support functions by building effective team working relationships.

•             Support in development of site preventative maintenance systems for all operational equipment.

•             Monitor to ensure an acceptable level of preventative maintenance is actioned for both the equipment and tooling.

•             Provide regular management reports that encompass all areas of project and team performance in a professional and timely manner.

•             Management of defined Key Performance Indicators.

•             Ensure adherence to group Engineering and Maintenance cost budgets.

•             Monitoring process/machinery with authority to close them down if product quality, procedures and/or work processes are not compliant with laid out standards.

•             Work closely with all operational departments to ensure the introduction of new equipment and processes the improvement of existing ones.

•             Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping keeping areas clean, tidy and hazard free and in line with 5S standards.

•             Maintaining and developing key standards in line with the IMS.

•             Respond to unplanned repairs and other requirements across group as necessary.

•             Provide necessary support to plant breakdowns – ensuring it is returned to production in a timely manner.

•             Support with implementation of group strategic projects using standard project management tools.

•             Management of contractors for maintenance and project activities as required across the Concrete Division.

•             Ensuring most cost effective solutions are researched to maintain departmental and project budgets.

•             To carry out other reasonable tasks within the scope of your operation and abilities as and when required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Person Specification

•             High degree of Health & Safety awareness

•             A highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm

•             Ability to work as part of a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation

•             Excellent communication and team working skills

•             IT literacy and ability to work to deadlines

•             Experience in safe working practices and permits to work procedures

•             Experience in the Engineering maintenance industry

•             A sound knowledge of Engineering services

•             Organisation, project management and planning ability

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

•             High degree of Health & Safety awareness

•             NVQ and BTEC level 3 in Engineering.

•             IOSH Managing Safety.

•             Project management experience.

•             NEBOSH General Certificate (Desirable)

•             ILM level 2 or equivalent qualification in leadership (Desirable).

•             Outstanding team member with energy, commitment, drive, adaptability, creativity, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.

•             Organisation and planning ability.

•             Able to interpret and work to budgets and cost control measures<
