Head of Financial Assurance

Hays Finance is delighted to be exclusively supporting a major organisation in the local area who are looking to add a Head of Financial Assurance to their restructured Finance team.
Your new role
This is a fantastic role for a motivated finance professional to make an impactful difference. You will be helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement, risk management, best practice and good governance across multiple departments.

You will need the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the department within the organisation and with external stakeholders and auditors. You will be responsible for delivering a programme of compliance reviews, complimenting work undertaken by internal and external audit. What you'll need to succeed

• First class communication skills
• An accountancy qualification or an internal auditor with experience of working in a risk, audit of assurance role
• Proven technical skills in assurance, experience of managing data-driven audits as well as experience with financial controls, compliance and assurance.
• Demonstrable experience of working within a complex and challenging environment
