Venn Group are currently partnered with a large healthcare organisation in the North-West area who urgently require a fulltime Head of Healthcare

The key role responsibilities are:

Primarily working Monday to Friday, the main role of the post holder is one of proactive management of healthcare, supporting the Head of Operations / Service Manager to maintain the strategic direction, deliver the agreed contractual requirements and targets and managing within the financial framework.

The post includes responsibility for all aspects of HR and people management, leading, motivating and developing staff.

Duties:

  • To develop a seamless service through close working partnerships with Prison Service Staff, Mental Health and Substance Misuse Teams, Primary and Secondary care staff, Social Care staff and voluntary agencies, to ensure needs of patients are addressed in a holistic way.
  • To develop a patient centered planning approach to service provision incorporating a whole systems approach to the delivery of care.
  • To develop policies and practices for the service reflecting regional and national standards.
  • To operationalise relevant national and local strategies by translating organisational requirements into team and individual objectives.
  • To lead on service developments as delegated by the Service Manager
  • To actively promote service user and carer involvement in the planning and delivery of services.
  • To develop, implement and review service policies and procedures, in order to maintain best practice and effectiveness
  • To take responsibility for identifying own development needs, and planning using the PDP with your line manager to meet those needs
  • To actively take part in learning & development opportunities
  • To evaluate the learning & development activities you take part in and take responsibility for transferring that learning back into the workplace
  • To undertake training and CPD as appropriate and ensure mandatory training is up to date
  • Access relevant professional clinical supervision to maintain your own practice.
