Head Teacher for Mathematics

Location: Brighton, UK
Position: Permanent, Full-Time

About the School:
Our school in Brighton is a thriving and inclusive secondary school committed to excellence in education. We are seeking an exceptional Head Teacher for Mathematics to lead our dedicated Math department and inspire our students to achieve their highest potential.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement an innovative and engaging Mathematics curriculum.
  • Mentor and support teachers within the department, promoting professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school initiatives and improvement plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK: Must possess valid documentation.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate: Required for safeguarding purposes.
  • Valid and Contactable References: Professional references must be available.
  • Teaching Qualifications: Recognized teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent).
  • Experience: Extensive experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting, with a proven track record of leadership.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for Mathematics and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
