Head of Service: Integrated Assessment and Psychology

Rate: £550 per day

Location: West Yorkshire (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Hours: Full time

Venn Group are currently working with a Local Authority in West Yorkshire who are seeking a Head of Service: Integrated Assessment and Psychology to start at short notice on a 4-6 month contract.

Main duties of the job:

• Leading on the strategic implementation, co-ordination & delivery of the integrated assessment, and Education, Health & Care Plans for children & young people up to 25 years
• Chairing the weekly Education Health and Care Panel and ensure that it is implemented in line with the requirements of the SEND Reforms
• Contributing as part of the Children’s Services Directorate Senior Leadership Team to the overall strategic direction and delivery of Inclusion Services
• Being responsible for the Strategic & Operational development of Educational Psychology & Assessment to expand specialist support into the post16 sector with specific reference to supporting the education of young people with SEND
• Leading and managing the Integrated Assessment Psychology Services and to play a key role in supporting the delivery of the SEND reforms
• Leading on the on-going development and delivery of the Integrated Assessment processes, Short Break Assessments and the Education, Health & Care Plans
• Working in partnership with senior managers in external partner agencies to ensure the effective delivery of SEND services, particularly in relation to the SEND statutory functions.
