Health & Safety Manager

Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working alongside this specialist Construction business, to support the recruitment of a H&S Manager to join their team

Reporting directly into the Senior Leadership team, you will have complete responsibility for the Health & Safety strategy of the business and to drive a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.

This is an incredibly exciting position, and will be joining a growing business, in a growing specialist industry

You will have experience of working with a Principal / Main Contractor and will have a strong Construction background and experience of CDM

Your primary function will be to continue to drive the company's Health & Safety, and also Environmental procedures across the business, but your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all H&S and Environmental management systems are up-to-date and maintained
• Support the business with all HS&E procedures
• Ensuring the business complies with CDM regs
• Monitor and review H&S policies
• Manage any H&S training needs and deliver specific training
• Manage all Stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership team, and Operations externally on site
• Carry out operational site visits, and support with site audits

You will be managing a team of 2 H&S Advisors, and be responsible for their learning to support their professional development

You will have NEBOSH, and ideally have IEMA and be Chartered (CMIOSH)

This role is based at the office in Greater Manchester, and you will be expected to conduct site visits and this will mean staying / lodging away throughout the week at times
