HGV Class 1 C+E Drivers Required

Are you a Class 1 C+E driver who has had their license for a minimum of 2 years and have obtained 2+ years of experience in HGV Class 1 driving with no more than 6 points on your license!? Are you looking for consistent work in the Heathrow airport area!?

Position: Class 1 C+E Driver (HGV 1 Driver)

We have a variety of shifts available.
  • Days
  • Nights
  • Weekends

These shifts are 10-12 hours and ideally, we are looking for HGV Class 1 drivers who have aviation experience. Those who have worked around the airport and have experience in handling air freight. CO (Cargo Operative) desirable not essential.

Salary Range: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Sunday

Job Description:

As a Class 1 C+E driver, you will play a crucial role in our client’s operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of goods across various destinations. Your responsibilities will include:

Driving Expertise: Operating Class 1 vehicles with C+E licenses safely and responsibly, while holding the required licenses.

Route Planning: Planning and executing delivery routes with precision to meet schedules and deadlines.

Load Management: Safely loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper weight distribution, and securing loads.

Compliance: Adhering to all relevant traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and reporting any issues promptly.

Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries to various locations. 

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
  • Hold a valid Class 1 C+E driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Hold a valid CPC and Digi tachograph card.
  • Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 driver
  • Working knowledge of Driver legislation and laws. 
  • Five-year checkable work history
  • Clean and Valid DBS Check (dated within 10 weeks)
  • No more than 6 points on the licence (for insurance purposes)
  • Cargo Operative Certificate (desirable not essential)
